Hi, I’m Jill. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

The idea for a blog came to me when a friend gave me a tiny, single mustard seed, that God told me to plant, while reminding me of a promise He’d made to me 23 years ago that He was going to use me in creative writing. This seed, that I originally planted in a tiny 5ml medicine cup, has grown into a large flourishing  plant, now in a big earthenware pot outdoors, and reminds me daily that our God is always true to his promises.
He lives, breathes and works through his people, every single day. It’s good to share what he’s doing, because we can encourage one another that way.

Mustard Seed Blog now has the honour of being a Bible Gateway Blogger Grid member; so where possible I will link scriptures to http://biblegateway.com/ to enable readers to read further than my ramblings. Bible Gateway is a wonderful tool for Bible Study, with many translations, commentaries and study tools available for free – right at your fingertips!

The aim of Mustard Seed Blog is simply, encouragement. I hope my blog posts never come across as ‘this is how you do it’ – as though I’d arrived myself, because I haven’t! But I’m a work in progress in the Potter’s loving hands.

I love this scripture in Isaiah 35:3,4 “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ – this is the mission statement of Mustard Seed Blog.

It all starts with one seed!
Jill 💜
